“27.5% of Philip Rivers’ pass attempts went to RBs last season. Austin Ekeler averaging eye-opening .12 catches per snap in career. https://t.co/33dBNatDDK”
@RealFantasyWire i only the seahawks as an example cuz they have 2 capabke starters at rb. Considering they used a 1st rounder on penny that makes carson expendable. If the chargers came calling im sure schneider would listen. Point is, going that route would make more sense for the chargers than trying to play an entire season with ekeler and jackson. Theyre gonna have to get creative.
If physical stats were actual production....
Actual production? Where? College?
That’s not nearly the same as the NFL
@TheBigCheese839 From what I saw last year, Carson is the only reliable workhorse RB. Teams whiff on early round picks all the time. He was given every opportunity to win the job and Carson took off with it. Not to say he is a lost cause, but he didnt leave much to be desired.
Justin Jackson compares favorably to Jamaal Charles in BMI
Fuck size lindsay didnt even get drafted last year everyone said he was too small. Yeah he broke his wrist in the cold cuz he was fighting for yard and getting squashed by Broncos oline and raiders defense at same time. Its football literally anyone cant get hurt at anytime. Size and workload dont matter. Gurley is apparently a workhorse but everybody scared to touch him cuz he gonna get hurt. Stay away from jackson when Gordon holds out guys like me ride him until/if he gets hurt
@SleepyDillon sub 200 pound workhorse running backs dont exist in the nfl. Jamaal charles and chris johnson were 200 pounds and the only reason they started was because they were the fastest guys on the field every sunday. Jackson is an average athlete at best and hes small. He will never be a workhorse or anything that even resembles a workhorse in the nfl.
And short or small handed QBs can't be franchise QBs either, right? There are exceptions. I think it's more that there aren't a lot of teams that implement a workhorse period. There have been plenty of sub 200 lb backs to have success in the NFL.
Barry, Warrick, Ray Rice, Westbrook were all workhorses during their careers and sat right at 190-200. But times are changing. Committee is more cost effective and better for attrition.
6/14 games Penny averaged less than 3YPC. Guess how many Carson had in 14 games? Hint: It rhymes with hero ;)
@TheBigCheese839 Jackson has a better sparq score than Charles 🤷🏿♂️
Jimmy G MVP
Send it
Gordon will play. They'll get him paid and he'll be a beast.
Gordon ain't getting paid bruh
Its the skimpy ass chargers
@RealFantasyWire Penny was also a rookie. Melvin Gordon, Joe Mixon, and Leveon Bell all averaged less than 4 ypc for their entire rookie seasons. Penny averaged 4.9.
I'm confident they will pay him. Rivers will be off the books in a few years, they will have 54mil+ in cap space next season and they cant afford to lose a premier RB when they are trying to get a ring while rivers is around.
@dafyaman cool. Another useless analytic for matt kelley to tickle his ballsack to.
Passing on MG3 signing would be a mistake during this run
Bro rivers deal is up at the end of the year
They gotta pay rivers too though
You expect him to Retire? lol He'll sign for a modest 1-2 year deal
