The Kansas City Chiefs could benefit from adding Joey Bosa to their roster, as their current edge defenders, including George Karlaftis and Felix Anudike-Uzomah, have underperformed. After being cut by his previous team, Bosa might be a cost-effective option for the Chiefs, who have limited cap space, to sign on a one-year, incentive-laden contract.

A. No transaction has taken place yet. Therefore, this isn't "breaking news." This is an opinion post. B. Felix should be considered a bust. But Karlaftis hasn't been underperforming. He's progressed year after year, and stats reflect it. He has been great at his position. C. As strong as Joey B is, he's a glass house. There are only 3 out of 9 seasons where he's played all 16 games.. 5 of the 9 seasons he played 12 or less games. Even most Chargers fans were happy to see him go. A few even joked that he sustained an injury walking to his car after his release.. The dude went to his brother's game in 2023 (9ers vs. Eagles) and got heckled by Eagles fans. Immediately put on injury report for 3 weeks for damaged pride.. If Chiefs did sign him, that contract would fall way below market value and be extremely heavy with incentives.

Marquise Brown, a talented deep-threat wide receiver, became a free agent after a season with injuries. Last offseason, he joined a new team on a $7 million deal but suffered a shoulder dislocation, missing much of the season but returning for two games with limited impact. The team is facing cap space challenges, currently over $3 million in the red, and will need to address pending free agents, including Nick Bolton, Justin Reid, and Tershawn Wharton, while potentially restructuring contracts to clear space. Brown could still be an asset in the right offense and might return on a lower-cost contract due to market conditions and his recent injury history.
