Got to ask.. Am I one of the few that think Rivers could honestly thrive with the Colts? It has been a long time since the Chargers honestly tried to protect the guy. The Colts already have a sound O-line. Yes- his weapons around him would a downgrade. But the Colts could easily change that. Even get him Henry and Gordon if they wanted to get him guys he has chemistry with.

As a QB, I think he's barely better than Brisset. He passed it off so many times to Ekler because he couldn't make the deeper throws or throw guys open, so he depended alottttt on ekler. With the Colts, I don't think he'd have much of a safe option(mack isn't a great catcher), and I don't think he has the arm strength to push the ball down the field anymore

The Colts have the most cap space available in the league. And Brisset was uninspiring. 12M dead money, 8 Mil cap saving if cut. 5 Mil dead money, 15 Mil savings if traded.

I knew Brissett’s number was like 21 total. Based on the above, trading him might be a long shot. 12 mil dead cap for a cut seems excessive.

Rivers has previous work with Frank. That's why I'm making the connection. I still don't think Brady leaves IMO. But he would fit the bill in NE a bit. A QB that plays well, that would take a pay cut to be on a winning team. And Rivers deserves a ring IMO.
