That occurred well into his career before he started making the pro bowl. Being a beast in college is not the only predictor for success in the NFL. Otherwise, GMs could just draft the top players kick their feet up and smoke a cigar. Good coaches turn players into Pro Bowlers
Zimmer coached him up a ton to get the best out of him. At this point he’s likely done. Was a ton of work for the Vikes coaching staff to get good.

I like this signing it’s low risk high reward if Rhodes bounces back great for the Colts if he doesn’t oh well you have Ya Sin and Moore and a couple other young CBs who can take over
Good rebound opportunity for Xavier. Can’t give up on a once elite CB after one down year. His talent level is still there. He just probably lost a step since he’s gettin older. He’ll be a great CB1 for them. Go Noles!

@WaltWhite the Vikings had to coach him up to get him good? He was already a beast at FSU and when ya’ll drafted him. His life spent working and being dedicated to being the best CB he can be is probably what made him good...
@WaltWhite his first 5 out of 7 NFL seasons he had 10+ passes defended. So it’s not like he was bad in the league coming out of FSU...
