Contracts don’t kick in for a couple years on either mahomes or Kelce is the deal, mahomes won’t be making 45 mil till 2024-25 by then it will be renegotiated anyway

JBHulk58 3 years ago

@jack1324 I understand that. Just look at Mahomes contract. Who’s more vital to an offense one of the top rb’s in the game or the top OL?? Be honest

jack1324 3 years ago

@JBHulk58 that’s why their contracts aren’t even in the same realm of each other lol

jack1324 3 years ago

tunsil getting 22m annually while mahomes can get up to 50m a year, how you can even compare those contracts is beyond me

JBHulk58 3 years ago

I’m not comparing tunsil and Mahomes contract. I’m staying I understand the difference In position and used them as an example.

jack1324 3 years ago

you just did compare them?

jack1324 3 years ago

that’s besides the point. the RB is vital but a team can scrounge by with a dogshit RB. it’s very difficult for a team with a dogshit OL to succeed. look at the steelers, had awful backs all year and still finished off in the running for wild card. and while they ultimately whiffed it they still had a pretty decent season.

and a good back doesn’t inherently mean success either. all 3 teams with the top 3 backs in the league missed the playoffs this year. hell two of em didn’t have a winning season. teams are willing to pay a lot more to protect their franchise QB than they are for a guy who can run the ball.
