Those fringe roster spot players probably don’t see these 2 preseason games as needless risk.
Ideally the NFLPA would all like to be paid the same, or more, for the rest of time, and never have to play football again.

Well they been pushing for 70 man rosters instead of 53 to combat any players who may get sick and have to quarantine. If they approve the roster change then there would be no need for preseason games
