@Mason76 next man up means you won't make significantly less than the top contract. Resetting the market is significantly making more than the previous guy. Last year 32 mil for Dak was reasonable, now it's not even a discussion point. If Dak makes 35, it's because Wilson reset the market. Dak and his agent are in no hurry. If he plays on the tag, it's only means 31.5 mil guaranteed plus more for his future contract because mahomes and Watson will make more than Wilson. If mahomes gets 40 mil, daks floor is now above Wilson because 40 is the new ceiling. That's why there aren't any significant talks.

@kvnklly why? Wilson has a ring, should have been 2. Dak doesn’t have that. He should get the same as Goff and Wentz since he has outplayed his draft position but they have been the the Super Bowl and an MVP candidate.

Mahomes is worth every penny he gets but I wouldn’t be surprised if he take a bit of a Tom Brady approach and signs a smaller contract to keep that team as talented as they are
