“The #Cowboys and QB Dak Prescott have reengaged on long-term contract talks, and sources say the two sides are communicating and would like to work out a deal. With a contract this complex, there are so many details, it’s difficult to gauge where it stands. But they are working.”
@cale123 that why we want the cowboys to break the bank for him
He’s a 4th round pick he scrambles for 6 tds or more every year and he’s relatively conservative with the ball in my opinion based on skill he’s an above average qb his defense really didn’t do him many favors last year eitber
Haha imagin a team being dumb enuf to pay an average/slightly above average qb elite tier money haha... *Cries into Kirk Cousins jersey* #Skol
🤦🏿♂️
So true I don’t think they should pay him the money but hey if the Cowboys want to go ahead
I'd have that shit based around incentives
That’s probably where the issue lies as of why they can’t get this contract done
Just take the 5th year Dak
The cowboys aren’t replacing dak with anyone better before next season. It will get done. The cowboys already botched this, they could of got a way better deal a year ago when they had leverage. Now dak has leverage and he is def worth the market value. Goff is good but nothing great, Tannehill got 29.5 to hand the ball off to Henry, rely on play action pass and he is older.
It’s complex because it’s a top dollar contract for a league average QB 😂😂
Dallas gotta figure out how many outs they can cram into the contract language
Even if it is top dollar which I don’t think it will be, in 1-2 years the annual average he makes will fall right in line where it should imo
Hopefully the deal is 5 years and not 4. That way the deal will be even better
Imagine in 5 years $35 will be nothing for a QB 🤣
Dak is better than average. Y’all playing fanatsy football when he is on the field playing real football. Russell Wilson was a game manager during the beginning of his career but evolved into arguably the best QB in the league. Pay dak what he deserves, he is 26 years old and played on a deal paying him 3 million over 4 years.
That’s with the salary cap rising 10 mil after each season
That’s why dak wants a 3 year deal. Because he knows if he plays well the next Deal will be much bigger
Agree with that for sure
I think that’s where the standoff is imo
I think he’s trying to strike the biggest deal he can bc his iron is hot
No one knows how good he will be in the next 3 or so years
He may be an every year pro bowler
He may be a backup somewhere else
Ya that also but imagine him hitting FA again at 30 years old. With what the salary cap would be he could get 2 separate contracts worth $110 million +
