“Per @SharpFootball, 42% of Bruce Arians' 2017 #Cardinals pass plays came in 4-WR sets. NFL average was ~ 5%. If Arians brings 4-WR sets to #Bucs, candidates to benefit = Breshad Perriman, Justin Watson & Scott Miller behind Mike Evans & Chris Godwin.”

Brown is 5 lbs heavier though

jlcon07 6 years ago

he is now

jlcon07 6 years ago

he wasn't at the combine

DoctorLark 6 years ago

He wasn't playing for Arians at the combine

jlcon07 6 years ago

he was drafted by AZ

DoctorLark 6 years ago

I am aware

DoctorLark 6 years ago

But he was almost surely not playing at 174 when he was having success under Arians

jlcon07 6 years ago

and you have proof to back up that claim or are you just speculating

DoctorLark 6 years ago

What other timeframe makes any sense for him to add weight?

DoctorLark 6 years ago

Just using common sense

NinerOptimist 6 years ago

Godwin overrated?

Players adjust weight in the offseason

jlcon07 6 years ago

well he's 5 lbs heavier now. i mean they list him at 179... its not outlandish to belive brown has added weight in 6 years

jlcon07 6 years ago

meanwhile the rookie has stayed roughly the same weight.

No weaknesses @TheChancellor

jlcon07 6 years ago

ok again. i'm not knocking Watson tho. just saying your arguments for knocking Miller aren't warranted. you still haven't addressed it with anything other than speculation as to why you believe players weight may or may not be different

DoctorLark 6 years ago

You act like my only point was that he's 174 and not 179 lol

DoctorLark 6 years ago

I'm not saying he's on a different planet... just that he's marginally smaller, slower, and less athletic than other successful WRs, so he would be the largest outlier.

DoctorLark 6 years ago

Watson on the other hand looks like the archetype of a successful NFL wide receiver in every way imaginable except the Bucs have not granted him enough opportunity yet

DoctorLark 6 years ago

So I'm going to bet on Watson and it's not even close

jlcon07 6 years ago

he's not marginally smaller. he's same size, very slightly slower, and athletically we aren't sure because we don't have the measurements of vert, broad, etc to measure against TY and John Brown as Miller wasn't invited and no record of them at his pro day. All we have to go on is his speed.

DoctorLark 6 years ago

We have a 26th-percentile speed score, 42nd-percentile burst score, and 76th-percentile agility score (which damn well better be the one thing he's good at)

DoctorLark 6 years ago

Watson 86th, 88th, 36th respectively
