“The #Cardinals are signing former #Chargers DT Darius Philon to a two-year, $10 million deal, sources tell me and @RapSheet. He gets $5M fully guaranteed. Max $12M with incentives.”
Dude wants Kyler lmao. Pathetic
Would still like one or two more IDL guys. Depth is seriously weak.
Philon is a monster... he is a great add for that cheap. 5 mil a year is nothing for what kind of a player he is. Great signing. I wish the bucs would have gotten on this... why is it we are so dang inactive right now!?!
Nooooooo
Seriously
Don’t understand this move from the Chargers front office.
With that kind of money, is he going to be getting most of the defense snaps? Starter?
Would be surprised if he isn't. Our IDL depth is really shaky as of right now. Nkemdiche doesn't seem like he'll be back by the beginning of the season so we're fucked at IDL as of right now.
The Chargers have had a decent offseason, but they whiffed on this one
I mean their DL was pretty crowded. Maybe Philon was looking for a bigger role.
No it’s not. He had ample room to thrive
Chargers fell asleep at the wheel on this one.
Unless TT comes out and signs Suh or something, they dropped the ball big time
I was thinking Haha to be free safety but wouldn’t be opposed to suh for the right cost. TT kills it in the draft, but has always been conservative in FA. This was/is the off-season to take a chance, he will have to nail the draft to fill the holes he is leaving open. Philon was solid for us
Goddammit
Good deal
If we take DT instead of OT in the first round I’ll have officially lost the blind faith I had in TT. He’s been amazing, dont get me wrong, but we’ve ignored our OL struggles for almost a fucking DECADE and we’ve paid the price. Rivers has one of the lowest times in the pocket every year and historically and I’m so goddamn tired of watching his pockets break down in every game, have people bitch about the OL in the regular season, then completely forget about it in the offseason.
That’s all to say we should have fucking solved DT in resignings and free agency
Definitely should have upgraded at DT, there were many available, we got mebane back. Need at least a starter and depth piece on the o-line
My opinion on this move is that it's too little too late, the packers have won free agency and are now the best team in the league, they still have 10 draft picks including 3 in the top 45, watch out. This opinion is unbiased, fair and balanced
lol
